"Often we get comfortable living in our trauma because it’s familiar—but breaking free is essential to becoming the person you’re meant to be."

My Counseling Philosophy

I believe every person carries the presence of their inner child with them, guiding decisions and shaping interactions. While logic helps us navigate life, sometimes our inner child still speaks on our behalf. That’s okay, healing means learning how to nurture that part of ourselves so we can increase self-awareness and recognize the lasting impact of childhood experiences.

For me, counseling is not about “sit, nod, and agree” sessions. It’s about offering a safe, authentic, judgment-free space where you can show up unapologetically and begin meaningful work toward healing and life transformation.

My Approach to Therapy

I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients make connections between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I focus on creating a collaborative, supportive environment where real change can happen.

My goal is to make therapy feel less like “work” and more like a process of meaningful transformation, where empathy, compassion, and professionalism meet resilience and growth.

A Little About Me

I’m a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in social work. My passion for mental health led me to create a nonprofit in 2019 that provides mental health support and essential resources to young girls in underserved communities.

I’ve also worked as a school social worker for the past two years, providing therapeutic support to adolescents facing complex challenges.

On a personal note, I’m one of eight siblings—which taught me a lot about personalities and family dynamics. When my mom had a triple bypass surgery, I stepped in as her primary caregiver, which showed me the strength of family bonds.

Outside of work, I love spending time with my family, enjoying brunch, and trying new foods. I’m also on a new journey with Christ, and my walk with Him continues to transform my life in ways I never imagined.

Let’s Work Together

You’ve already taken the brave first step toward prioritizing your mental health—and I’d be honored to walk alongside you. Together, we can create a safe, empowering space for healing and growth.
